Philip Perkins is a sound artist, designer, re-recording mixer and location recording engineer with half a century of experience in all types of music, motion picture, dance and special venue style sound work. His credits include Hollywood movies, PBS documentaries, music albums and live streams, ballets and other dance works, podcasts, and sound installations.

Among his accomplishments are 24+ seasons and numerous special shows as the sound designer for
Alonzo King Lines Ballet, working closely with such guest artists as Zakir Hussain, Charles Lloyd, Edgar Meyer, Jason Moran, Kronos Quartet and Lisa Fischer. His work for Lines has also included music and sound composition as well as extensive sound editing and design for over a decade's worth of Lines ballets performed all over the world.

Perkins has published 20 (more or less) albums of his sound works 1975-present on the Artifact Recordings, Fun Music, Captured Tracks and ChoonSubCity labels. Most of these are available through Bandcamp.
